April 21, 1905 – Combination Ladder Co. 10 was designated LADDER COMPANY 26. The company continued to be quartered at the firehouse at 352 Longwood Avenue , Fenway. The company continued to use a 1901 Charles T. Holloway & Co. combination ladder truck equipped with 7 ladders of varying lengths.
November, 1908 – Company received a new 1908 American LaFrance horse-drawn ladder truck, equipped with 7 ladders of varying lengths.
1923 – Company received a 1915 Christie Front-Drive 2-wheel motor tractor, Shop # 211T , attached to a 1908 Perkins combination ladder truck.
October 14, 1924 – Company received a new 1924 American LaFrance, Type 14, motor city-service combination ladder truck, Serial # 4849, Shop # 239.
July 11, 1925 – Company received a new 1925 American LaFrance, Type 17, motor tractor, Serial # 5060, Shop # 212T , attached to a 1911 Seagrave 75ft aerial ladder trailer, Shop # 212.
1929 – Company received a 1925 American LaFrance, Type 17, 85ft aerial ladder truck, Serial # 5046-C383, Shop # 240.
October 11, 1933 – Company moved into a new firehouse, along with Engine Co. 37, located at 560 Huntington Avenue , Roxbury. The old firehouse at 352 Longwood Avenue was closed.
March 18, 1936 – Company received a new 1936 Seagrave V12 85ft tiller aerial ladder truck, with booster, Serial # 82000, Shop # 264.
August 9, 1944 – Company received a new 1944 American LaFrance, ‘600 Series’, 100ft tiller aerial ladder truck, Serial # 8180-C695, Shop # 208.
1947 – Ladderman Louis J. Civitarese, Ladder Company 26, was awarded the John E. Fitzgerald Medal for the Most Meritorious Act of 1947.
1948 – Ladderman William W. Austin, Ladder Company 26, was awarded the John E. Fitzgerald Medal for the Most Meritorious Act of 1948, for his actions in the Charles River near Brook Street, Brighton, on September 4, 1948.

May 15, 1957 – Company received a new 1957 Seagrave, Model 900T’, 100ft tiller aerial ladder truck, Serial # J7506, Shop # 282.
1961 – Fire Fighter John G. Kenney, Ladder Company 26, was awarded the Walter Scott Medal for Valor for his actions at 58 Annunciation Road, Roxbury, Box 2335, on April 17, 1961. Citation for Fire Fighter Kenney
1961 – Fire Fighter William J. O’Brien, Ladder Company 26, was awarded the Roll Of Merit for his actions at 1182 Boylston Street, Fenway, Box 2329, 2 Alarms, on December 24, 1961. Citation
October 1, 1964 – Fire Lieutenant John J. Geswell, Ladder Company 26, detailed to Ladder Co. 4, died in the Line-Of-Duty from injuries received from falling brick walls at 34 Trumbull Street, South End, Box 1671, 5 Alarms. Fire Lieutenant Geswell was awarded the Medal Of Valor and the Roll Of Merit.

February 4, 1977 – Aerial Tower 2 was designated LADDER COMPANY 26. Company received a 1972 Maxim 100ft tiller aerial ladder truck, Serial # 2962, Shop # 229.
1980 – Fire Lieutenant Edward J. Callahan, Ladder Company 26, was awarded the John E. Fitzgerald Medal for the Most Meritorious Act of 1980 for his actions at 19 Myrtle Street, Beacon Hill, Box 1364, 6 Alarms, on October 13, 1980. Citation for Fire Lieutenant Callahan

2017 – Five members of Ladder Company 26, Fire Captain Michael J. Palizzolo and Fire Fighters Thomas W. Beard, Jeremy R. Daviau, Michael F. Devine and Daniel C. Castro, were awarded the Commissioner’s Unit Citation for their actions on Lawn Street, Roxbury, on September 26, 2017. Citation
December 1, 2017 – Company received a new 2017 Emergency One ‘Metro’ 100ft ladder truck, Serial # 141355, Shop # 271.
2018 – Four members of Ladder Company 26, Senior Fire Fighter Hacmoni Cuevas and Fire Fighters Daniel C. Castro, Bryan E. O’Connor and Kevin B. Halsey, were awarded the Commissioner’s Unit Citation for their actions on Annunication Road, Roxbury, on February 6, 2018. Citation
2019 – Four members of Ladder Company 26, Fire Captain Michael J. Palizzolo and Fire Fighters Daniel C. Castro, Michael F. Devine and Robert M. Noonan, were awarded the Commissioner’s Unit Citation for their actions on Fenwood Road, Mission Hill, on February 15, 2019. Citation
