February 24, 1913 – Company organized in a new firehouse at 425 Faneuil Street , Brighton. The company was equipped with a new 1913 American LaFrance, Type 14, city-service combination ladder truck, with a 35gal. tank, Serial # 216, Shop # 202.
July 12, 1920 – COMPANY DISBANDED. Engine Company 51 was organized in its place.
June 14, 1926 – COMPANY REORGANIZED. The company was reorganized at the quarters of Chemical Engine Company 7 at 360 Saratoga Street , East Boston. The company was assigned a 1922 American LaFrance, Type 17, 75ft aerial ladder truck, Serial # 3766-C302, Shop # 230.
August 3, 1926 – Company received a new 1926 American LaFrance, Type 14, city-service combination ladder truck, Serial # 5593, Shop # 244.
April 18, 1949 – Company received a new 1949 American LaFrance, ‘700 Series’, junior aerial ladder truck, Serial # L3847, Shop # 267.
May 25, 1954 – COMPANY DEACTIVATED.
October 14, 1957 – RE-DESIGNATION – Ladder Company 33, located at Long Island, Boston Harbor, was designated Ladder Company 31. The company continued to use a 1931 American LaFrance, Type 214, city-service ladder truck, with 100gal. booster, Serial # 7383, Shop # 262.
1972 – Company received a 1949 American LaFrance, ‘700 Series’, 65ft junior aerial ladder truck, with 150gal. booster, Serial # L3848, Shop # 268.
April 10, 1981 – COMPANY DEACTIVATED. Ladder company functions assigned to the Fire Brigade.
