May 31, 1929 – Company organized at a temporary location at Engine Company 50’s quarters at 34 Winthrop Street , Charlestown. The company was assigned a 1920 American LaFrance, Type 40, Hose & Chemical wagon, Serial # 2806, Shop # 328 , modified for rescue duty.
January 28, 1930 – Company received a new 1930 Federal, Model F-7, rescue truck, Shop # 373.
November 10, 1930 – Company moved to the new firehouse at Bowdoin Square , Downtown.
1942 – Captain James A. Kennedy and Hoseman Owen J. Coyle, Rescue Company 3, were awarded the Roll Of Merit. Citation
June, 1947 – Company received a new 1947 Mack/Lacey rescue truck, Serial # EHIS-7094, Shop # 395.
1950 – Lieutenant John C. Reardon, Rescue Company 3, was awarded the John E. Fitzgerald Medal for the Most Meritorious Act of 1950 for his actions at 47 Lynde Street, West End, Box 1341, on December 9, 1950.
