January 5, 1874 – The Town of West Roxbury was annexed to the City of Boston. West Roxbury Ladder 1 became part of the Boston Fire Department at the firehouse at 659 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, and retaining its company number for the time being. The company retained the 1870 Hunneman ladder truck, equipped with 15 ladders of varying lengths.
May 20, 1874 – The Board of Fire Commissioners voted to designate West Roxbury Ladder 1 as Boston Ladder Company 10, the change taking place the first week of June.
March, 1909 Company received the rebuilt 1870 Hunneman ladder truck after being rebuilt by the Fire Department Shops.

December 24, 1915 – Company received a new 1915 Christie Front-Drive 2-wheel tractor, Shop # 216T , attached to the 1909 BFD Shops ladder truck.
October 16, 1920 – Company received a new 1920 American LaFrance, Type 14, city-service ladder truck, with a 35gal. booster tank, Serial # 3177, Shop # 227.
1929 – Company received a 1925 American LaFrance, Type 17, motor tractor, Serial # 5060,
Shop # 212T , attached to a 1911 Seagrave 75ft aerial ladder trailer, Shop # 212.
1941 – Company received a 1926 American LaFrance, Type 17, 85ft aerial ladder truck, Serial # 5527-C412, Shop # 242.
1943 – Lieutenant William O. Hawkins, Ladder Company 10, was awarded the Walter Scott Medal for Valor.
April 3, 1947 – Company received a 1943 Seagrave Quadruple combination ladder truck, ex-U.S. Navy, Shop # 202.
November 9, 1949 – Company received a new 1949 Pirsch ‘Hydromechanical’ 85ft aerial ladder truck, with 150gal. booster tank, Serial # 1805, Shop # 275.
1961 – Fire Fighter James J. Loftus, Ladder Company 10, was awarded the John E. Fitzgerald Medal for the Most Meritorious Act of 1961 for his actions at 150 South Huntington Avenue, Roxbury, on September 20, 1961. Citation for Fire Fighter Loftus.
1963 – Fire Fighter James F. Loftus, Ladder Company 10, was awarded the Roll Of Merit. Citation.
1968 – Company received a 1949 Pirsch ‘Hydromechanical’ 85ft aerial ladder truck, with 150gal. booster tank, Serial # 1802, Shop # 243.
1970 – Company received a 1968 American LaFrance 100ft aerial ladder truck, Serial # 12-1-1143, Shop # 239.
1974 – Fire Lieutenant Robert D. Callow and Fire Fighter Joseph M. Welsh, Ladder Company 10, were awarded the Roll Of Merit. Citation.
October 29, 1976 – Company received a new 1976 Seagrave 100ft aerial ladder truck, Serial # F76062, Shop # 292.
1977 – Fire Lieutenant Michael J. Bruno, Ladder Company 10, was awarded the Roll Of Merit. Citation.
1980 – Fire Fighter Richard T. Doyle and Fire Fighter David W. Joseph, Ladder Company 10, were awarded the Distinguished Service Award. Citation.
December 18, 1984 – Company moved, along with Engine Company 28, into a new firehouse at 746 Centre Street , Jamaica Plain.
August 2, 1990 – Company received a new 1990 Emergency One 110ft rearmount aerial ladder truck, Serial # 8093, Shop # 219.
1990 – Fire Fighter Scott J. Malone was awarded two Distinguished Service Awards. Citations.
1992 – Fire Fighter Stephen McGillicuddy, Ladder Company 10, was awarded the John E. Fitzgerald Medal for the Most Meritorious Act of 1992, and the Fire Commissioner’s Award, for his actions at 15 Arcola Street, Roxbury, Box 2383, on April 30, 1992.

September 20, 2001 – Company designated TOWER LADDER COMPANY 10. Company received a loaned 2001 American LaFrance 85ft rearmount tower ladder truck, Shop # 235.
