March 20, 1882 – Company in service with an 1882 Greenleaf 50-foot water tower, raised in sections, and quartered at Fort Hill Square, Downtown.
June 30, 1883 – Company moved to the firehouse at 5 Bulfinch Street, Downtown.
November 28, 1889 – The Thanksgiving Day Fire at 69-87 Bedford Street, Downtown occurred. The collapse of the Ames Building at this fire destroyed the Water Tower apparatus.
May 17, 1890 – A new water tower, an 1890 KCFD 55-foot tower, was placed in service to replace the apparatus destroyed in 1889.
December 18, 1893 – The Water Tower in service at 5 Bulfinch Street, Downtown, was designated Water Tower 1.
