April 25, 1874 – Company established temporarily at 18 Mason Street, Downtown, equipped with a Babcock 150 gallon chemical engine
May 7, 1874 – Company moved to the quarters of, and replaced, Hose Company 8 at 25 Church Street, Downtown.
July 3, 1874 – Company became a permanent company.
1889 – Company members of Chemical Engine Company 2 in 1889:
1. Captain John Knights.
2. Driver Addison Getchell.
3. Hoseman Joseph Smith.
1887 Babcock 160 gallon chemical engine.
October 9, 1895 – A new chemical engine, built by Charles Holloway, placed in service.
July 20, 1920 – COMPANY DISBANDED
