November 25, 1906 – Hoseman George L. Spencer, Engine Company 24, was profiled in a Boston Globe newspaper story upon his retirement from the Department. Profile

October 30, 1931 – Company received a new 1931 American LaFrance, Type 212, Hose & Booster Wagon, Serial # 7376, Shop # 389.
November 25, 1946 – Due to firehouse renovations, company moved to the quarters of Ladder Company 23 at 36 Washington Street , Dorchester.
March 27, 1947 – Company moved back to 434 Warren Street , Roxbury.
October 27, 1947 – Company received a new 1947 Mack, Type 85, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 85LS-1154, Shop # 137.
August 12, 1954 – Company changed to Single-unit operation.
July 19, 1962 – Company received a new 1962 Ward LaFrance, Type 1120T, 1000gpm pumper, Serial # 62-4789, Shop # 136.
October 1, 1964 – Fire Lieutenant John J. McCorkle, Engine Company 24, and Fire Fighter Francis L. Murphy, Engine Company 24, died in the Line-Of-Duty at Box 1761, 5 alarms, at 34 Trumbull Street, South End, as a result of a collapse of the bulding.

May 2, 1965, a plaque dedication ceremony was held at the quarters of Engine Company 24 to honor Fire Lieutenant McCorkle and Fire Fighter Murphy.

August 13, 1970 – Company received a new 1970 Hahn, 1250gpm pumper, Serial # C12-38, Shop # 145.
1971 – Fire Fighter Thomas J. Fogel, Fire Fighter Dennis P. Greenwood, Fire Fighter Vincent G. Mahoney, and Fire Fighter (On Probation) Paul Richardson, Engine Company 24, were awarded the Roll Of Merit. Citation
August 17, 1973 – Company moved from 434 Warren Street , Roxbury, to the quarters of Ladder 23 at 36 Washington Street, Dorchester. The old firehouse at 434 Warren Street was closed, but remains extant. It is now the John D. O’Bryant Community Youth Center.
October 24, 1973 – Company received a new 1973 Maxim, 1500gpm pumper, Serial # 3137, Shop # 178.
1975 – Fire Fighter Kenneth J. Rogers, Engine Company 24, was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal. Citation
