1898 – Company received an 1896 Amoskeag Second Size steam engine, Serial # 721.
October 4, 1901 – Chemical Engine Co. 3, at Engine 37’s firehouse, was disbanded, replaced by Combination Ladder Co. 10.
April, 1907 – The 1896 Amoskeag steam engine, Serial # 721 was rebuilt by International Power Co., and its rating was changed to a Third Size engine.
September 5, 1912 – The horse-drawn Hose Wagon was replaced by a new 1912 American LaFrance, Type 10, motor driven Combination Hose and Chemical wagon, Serial # 131, Shop # 301.
August 10, 1914 – The horse-drawn steam fire engine was attached to a new 1914 American LaFrance, Type 22, Two-wheel motor tractor, Serial # 570, Shop # 102T.
April 15, 1916 – Captain Dennis Driscoll, Engine Company 37, was profiled in a Boston Globe article. Newspaper story
October 22, 1920 – Company received a new 1920 American LaFrance, Type 75, 750gpm motor pumper, Serial # 3155, Shop # 136.
October 16, 1922 – Company received a 1920 American LaFrance, Type 75, Hose and Chemical Wagon, Serial # 3218, Shop # 335.
July 13, 1923 – Company received a new 1923 American LaFrance, Type 75, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 4337, Shop # 154.
November 2, 1931 – Company received a new 1931 American LaFrance, Type 212, Hose and Booster Wagon, Serial # 7377, Shop # 390.
October 11, 1933 – Company moved to a new firehouse at 560 Huntington Avenue, at the corner of Ruggles Street, Roxbury.

August 7, 1947 – Company received a new 1947 Ward LaFrance, Model 85T, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 47-2279, Shop # 144.
July 26, 1948 – Company received a 1947 Mack, Type 85, Hose & Booster Wagon, Serial # 85LS-1158, Serial # 303 , ex-Engine 33.
March 28, 1949 – Company received a new 1949 FWD Hose & Booster Wagon, Serial # 114948, Shop # 313. The 1947 Mack Hose wagon, Serial # 303 , was reassigned to Engine 6.
December 29, 1955 – Company changed from Double-unit to Single-unit operation. A 1947 Ward LaFrance, Model 120T, 1000gpm pumper, Serial # 47-2214, Shop # 116 , ex-Engine 16, equipped for Single-unit operation, was placed in service. The 1949 FWD Hose Wagon,
Shop # 313 , was reassigned to Engine 3.
May 8, 1959 – Company received a 1953 FWD/Wood Engineering, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 117125, Serial # 114 , ex-Engine 19.
1965 – Company received a 1952 Pirsch 750gpm pumper, Serial # 2049, Shop # 173 , ex-Engines 53, 2, 43.
July 8, 1968 – Company received a new 1968 Ward LaFrance, Model P80, diesel 1250gpm pumper, Serial # 80-237, Shop #163.
1969 – Fire Fighter Nino N. Tramontozzi, Engine Company 37, was awarded the Roll Of Merit for actions taken at 114 Bay State Road, Back Bay, on November 23, 1969. Citation
August 3, 1970 – Company received a new 1970 Hahn 1250gpm pumper, Serial # C12-36, Shop #143.
1970 – Fire Captain George E. Thompson and Fire Fighter Arthur G. Ainsworth, Engine Company 37, were awarded the Roll Of Merit for actions taken at 121 St. Stephen St., Back Bay, on July 5, 1970. Citation
November 19, 1971 – Company changed from Single-unit to Double-unit operation. A 1962 Ward LaFrance 1000gpm pumper, Serial # 62-4788, Shop # 132 , ex-Engines 21 and 53, placed in service as a hose wagon.
December, 1975 – Company changed back to Single-unit operation.
1975 – Fire Lieutenant Daniel J. Hurley. Engine Company 37, was awarded the Walter Scott Medal for Valor.

January 5, 1979 – Company received a new 1978 Hahn 1500gpm pumper, Serial # HCP59, Shop # 109 , painted Lime-Green.
January 6, 1981 – Fire Lieutenant Paul M. Lentini and Fire Fighter James M. Gibbons, Engine Company 37, died in the Line Of Duty at Box 1538, 8 Alarms, at 17 Arlington Street, Back Bay.

October 20, 1984 – The 1978 Hahn pumper, Shop # 109 , was returned to service painted red.
March 4, 1987 – Company received a new 1987 Emergency One ‘Cyclone’ 1250gpm pumper, Serial # 5295, Shop # 127.
June 1, 1995 – The company moved to the quarters of Engine 14 at 174 Dudley Street, Roxbury, during renovations to quarters. A new concrete floor was installed. The District 5 Chief moved to Engine 14 as well.
November 6, 1995 – Company returned to quarters at 560 Huntington Avenue after renovations.
January 3, 1998 – Company involved in a collision at Ruggles and Parker Streets, Roxbury. The 1987 Emergency One pumper, Shop # 127 , was destroyed.
December 15, 1998 – Company received a new 1998 Emergency One ‘Cyclone II’, 1250gpm pumper, Serial # 19412, Shop #151.
1999 – Fire Lieutenant James V. Boyle, Engine Company 37, was awarded the Distinguished Service Award. Citation
