June 12, 1890 – Organized at the quarters of, and as the Second Section of, Engine 26 at 18 Mason Street , Downtown. Equipped with an 1880 Silsby 900gpm, rotary steam engine, Serial # 647, ex-Engine 25 and Relief Engine “G”.
August 9, 1890 – Company received a new 1890 Clapp & Jones First Size steam engine, Serial # 542.
January, 1898 – Company received a new 1898 Amoskeag 1300gpm Self-Propelling Double Extra First Size steam engine, Serial # 736. The 1890 Clapp & Jones steam engine became Relief Engine ‘I’.
1915 – The 1898 Amoskeag Self Propelling steam engine was rebuilt by the American British Company.
January 21, 1919 – Company responded to a Second Alarm from Box 1412 at 170 Summer Street, Downtown. Read the Station Log Book entry. Log Book.
January 5, 1921 – Company received a 1920 American LaFrance, Type 75, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 2809, Shop # 128 , replacing the 1898 Amoskeag Self Propelling steam engine. Also received a new 1921 American LaFrance, Type 75, High Pressure hose wagon, Serial # 3231, Shop # 338.
October 9, 1925 – The firehouse at 18 Mason Street was closed. Engine 35’s 1920 pumper, Shop # 128 , moved to Engine 4’s quarters at 5 Bulfinch Street , Downtown, where it operated in conjunction with Engine 4’s hose wagon. Engine 35’s 1921 High Pressure Hose Wagon, Shop # 338. , moved to Rescue l’s quarters at 25 Church Street , where it operated as Engine 35.
September 26, 1927 – Company received a new 1927 American LaFrance, Type 112, Hose & Chemical wagon, Serial # 6118, Shop # 354. The 1921 High Pressure Wagon, Shop # 338 , was reassigned to Engine 7.
April 17, 1928 – Company occupied new quarters at 194 Broadway , Downtown, along with Engine 26. Engine 35 resumed operating as a Double-unit. The firehouse at 25 Church Street was closed.
October 26, 1928 – Company received a new 1928 American LaFrance, Type 112, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 6416, Shop # 178. The 1920 American LaFrance pumper, Shop # 128 , was reassigned to Engine 41.
August 9, 1939 – Company changed from Double to Single-Unit operation. The 1927 American LaFrance hose wagon, Shop # 354 , was reassigned to Engine 49.
January 10, 1940 – Company received a 1932 American LaFrance, Type 310RC, V12 1000gpm pumper, equipped with booster tank, Serial # 7472, Shop # 186 , ex-Engine 49. The 1928 American LaFrance pumper, Shop # 178 , was reassigned to Engine 7.
November 28, 1942 – Engine Company 35 responded to the Cocoanut Grove Fire at 17 Piedmont Street, Downtown. See Engine 35’s Fire Report. Fire Report
1942 – Hoseman Patrick H. Murphy, Engine Company 35, was awarded the Roll Of Merit.
February 10, 1944 – Company received a new 1944 American LaFrance ‘600 Series’ 1000gpm pumper, Serial 8193, Shop # 107. The 1932 American LaFrance pumper, Shop # 186 , was reassigned to Engine 27.
February 4, 1947 – COMPANY DEACTIVATED.
