December 22, 1869 – Walter E. Hawes Engine No. 15 was placed in service and temporarily located with Ladder Company 5 at 456 West Fourth Street , South Boston, near Dorchester Street.
May, 1872 – Company moved into a new firehouse at 109 Dorchester Avenue , at West Broadway, South Boston.
February 27, 1873 – Hoseman Brown P. Stowell and Hoseman James Sturks, Engine Company 15, died in the Line-Of-Duty, caused by falling brick walls at a fire at Sammett’s Mattress and Bedding Factory at Hanover & Blackstone Streets, North End, Box 17, 3 alarms.
1873 – Company names discontinued, reverted back to numbered company only (Engine 15).
June 10, 1874 – Company reorganized as a Part Permanent company.
December 1, 1882 – Company changed from Call to Permanent company.
February, 1893 – Company received a new 1893 Clapp & Jones First Size steam fire engine, Serial # 2162.
December, 1904 – Company received a new 1904 Amoskeag Extra First Size steam fire engine, Serial # 779.
December 31, 1905 – Company was sent by railroad train to assist at a fire in the city of Brockton. Engine 15 operated for several hours on the fire from an adjacent building.
May 4, 1916 – Captain Edwin F. Richardson, Engine Company 15, was profiled in a Boston Globe article. Newspaper story
July 2, 1917 – Company’s horse-drawn apparatus replaced by a new 1917 Seagrave, Model ‘756’ Triple Combination, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 16823, Shop # 120.
July 2, 1917 – Company temporarily moved to the former quarters of Chemical Engine Company 8 at 116 B Street , at the corner of Athens Street, South Boston. The move was necessary for the reconstruction of the firehouse and the construction of the Dorchester subway tunnel project.
December 15, 1917 – Company returned to their own quarters at 109 Dorchester Avenue , South Boston.
November 15, 1919 – Company received a new 1919 American LaFrance, Type 75, Triple Combination, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 2655, Shop # 126.
April 3, 1920 – Company received a 1920 Christie 2-wheel, Front-Drive motor engine attached to a 1904 Amoskeag steam engine, Serial # 779. Shop # 133T , and a 1917 Seagrave Hose & Chemical Wagon, Serial # 17800, Shop # 318.
October 22, 1924 – Company received a new 1924 American LaFrance, Type 75, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 4857, Shop # 166.
1927 – Hoseman Edward J. Murphy, Engine Company 15, was awarded the Roll Of Merit. Citation
October 18, 1929 – Company received a new 1929 American LaFrance, Type 112, Hose & Booster Wagon, Serial # 6664, Shop # 366.
May 13, 1948 – Company received a new 1948 Ward LaFrance, Model 85T, 750gpm pumper, Serial # 48-2324, Shop # 104.
August 14, 1948 – Company received a 1931 American LaFrance, Type 212, Hose & Booster Wagon, Serial # 7373, Shop # 385.
July 13, 1954 – COMPANY DEACTIVATED
